2017 India's three most innovative healthcare companies

1, Earlysense: patient remote monitoring

EarlySense's Patient Monitoring System The EarlySense system is based on powerful sensors that don't touch the patient's body. They only need to be placed under the mattress to track and detect the patient's heart, breathing, sleep and exercise, and have the ability to send alerts to the nurse station. It can be widely used in hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. This innovative patient continuous monitoring system not only effectively reduces the chance of a patient falling, but also prevents the production of acne and reduces medical expenses.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pointed out that there are 1.5 million falls every year in nursing homes in the United States, and according to EarlySense's estimates, their system has prevented the death of 500 patients, helping the hospital to fracture and injury caused by falls and sleep. More than $30 million in spending on acne caused by discomfort. The company's sensors monitored more than 100,000 patients in 2016 and were put into use in 60 hospitals and nursing homes, including the US Veterans Hospital. Currently, the home version of the system (EarlySense InSight system) is also available.
