The artichoke flower is dominated by cutting propagation, usually after spring and summer flowers, and can be carried out under greenhouse conditions throughout the year. Spring cuttings will generally take root after about 3 weeks. Spring cuttings, such as timely planting, strengthen tending, then you can flower.
For cuttings with cuttings, shoots with robust growth and no pests should be selected. Lengths of about 10 cm are appropriate. Each cutting requires 3 to 4 knots with 2 buds cut at 0.5 cm below the section to facilitate hair rooting.
The incision should be smooth and horse-shaped. The cutting media can be cleaned with fine sand, or a mixture of vermiculite and perlite (1:1).
In the greenhouse cuttings, generally can be inserted directly in the plug bed; family flowers, generally medium into the shallow basin or wooden box, all need to use broken tile bottom, in order to facilitate smooth drainage. The cutting depth is generally 1/3 of the cutting, the spacing is about 3 cm, and the spacing is slightly wider.
After insertion, use your fingers to slightly press the base of the cuttings so that the base of the cuttings is in close contact with the medium. Then use a fine watering can to pour enough water. After every 1 to 2 days, spray the leaves once to keep them moist. After 3 weeks, if the stems and leaves did not appear atrophy, they remained green and tender, indicating that the incision healed well and had taken root. After about 10 days, they could be transplanted into the pots. The seedlings just above the pot need to be filled with water and placed on the semi-shade.
