National leaders stressed at the National Science and Technology Innovation Conference that "high-end medical equipment relies mainly on imports and is one of the main reasons for expensive medical treatment."

However, due to the weak innovation ability and weak industrial base, the level of independent protection of medical equipment in China is not high.
