Cucumber storage and preservation

The suitable storage temperature of cucumber is 10-13°C and the suitable relative humidity is 30%. Often used cylinder storage method. Put the cleaned cylinder into the cool water of 100-200 mm depth, put a wooden frame-stitched "10" shaped wooden frame about 70-100 mm away from the water surface, and put a hemp straw on it. Round rakes can be made, or they can be made directly from perforated wood. Rotate the cucumber horizontally along the cylinder wall with the stem facing outwards and the head inwards until it is approximately 100-130 mm from the cylinder mouth. After placing the cucumbers, immediately cover the cylinder mouth with kraft paper, and tied with a rope, placed indoors in the shade or shade. When the weather turns cold, in order to avoid freezing in the cylinder, the cylinder should be buried half underground. When the weather is colder again, the cylinder must be surrounded with grass curtains or soil. Cylinder method can ensure that cucumbers get sufficient water, although the storage is limited, but the storage period is relatively long, generally more than a month.
